Vizier Velvet Tape is a cut-velvet tape in which a geometric pattern derived from Ottoman architecture is carved into the pile. The design has a tessellating, interlocking quality, and the velvet catches light differently across the raised and recessed areas, so the pattern shifts as you move around it. The tape is substantial in weight and presence.
Made in India, it is fifty-eight per cent viscose and forty-two per cent cotton, ten centimetres wide with an eleven-centimetre vertical repeat and a five-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning only. It is available in several colourways and suits curtains, cushions and upholstered furniture where a rich, architectural detail is wanted.
