Schumacher | Wedge Weave

Wedge Weave is a collaboration with Kevin Aspaas, a Diné weaver, fibre artist and shepherd based in Shiprock, New Mexico, on the Navajo Nation. The design uses an ancient Navajo wedge technique in which weft yarns are woven diagonally across the warp to form a medium-scale zigzag. The result has a blanket-like weight and a woollen, artisanal texture.

Woven in the United States from 78% wool, 13% nylon and 9% polycotton, it is 139 centimetres wide with a 209-centimetre vertical repeat and 69-centimetre horizontal repeat. Spot clean only. It suits cushions and upholstery.
