Wedge Weave Pillow is woven using a traditional Navajo wedge technique in which the weft runs diagonally across the warp, creating a medium-scale zigzag that has the weight and texture of a blanket. The design was created in collaboration with Kevin Aspaas, a Diné weaver and fibre artist based in Shiprock, New Mexico, and the cloth has an artisanal, hand-loomed character that comes from the ancient construction method.
It is woven in the United States from 78 per cent wool, 13 per cent nylon and 9 per cent polycotton, and made up as a 56-centimetre square cushion with a knife-edge finish. Supplied with a feather and down insert and a concealed zip, it should be dry cleaned. The substantial weight and woollen texture suit both sofas and beds.
