Willow Leaf is a dense botanical print in the manner of the late-nineteenth-century Aesthetic Movement, its intertwining leaves forming a small-scale allover pattern that reads as texture from a distance but resolves into detail up close. Screen-printed by hand onto a mid-weight linen ground, the design carries the slight irregularities that come with the process.
Made in India from fifty-five per cent linen and forty-five per cent cotton, the cloth is 132 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 19 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 17 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits upholstery, curtains, blinds and cushions, and is also produced as a wallpaper.
