Schumacher | Xanadu

Xanadu reinterprets the traditional tortoiseshell motif as a stylised, allover geometric pattern printed on flat paper. The design reads as both organic and abstract, the mottled, cellular forms creating a surface that has movement without being overtly figurative. At 49 centimetres vertical and 69 centimetres horizontal, the repeat is large enough to establish presence across a wall.

Printed in the United States, the wallcovering is 69 centimetres wide and sold by the metre from 9.14 metre rolls. It should be vacuumed only with a soft brush. The design suits feature walls, whole rooms or smaller spaces such as cloakrooms where a strong, graphic surface is wanted without the weight of a heavily patterned or textured material.
