Schumacher | Zagros Velvet

Zagros Velvet takes its cue from the worn, uneven colour of old carpets, the abrash effect giving the cloth a dappled, patinated surface that reads as age rather than newness. The velvet has a silky lustre and a remarkably soft hand, the pattern geometric but softened by the way light falls differently across the pile, so the design shifts as you move around it.

Woven in India from viscose, cotton and polyester, it is 137 centimetres wide with a 77-centimetre vertical repeat and 67-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. Suitable for upholstery and cushions, the velvet's texture and depth of colour work especially well on pieces where the cloth can be seen from different angles.
