Zealand Check is woven with yarns of varying widths, so the surface acquires a chunky, handmade texture that feels deliberately uneven. A small percentage of metallic zari thread runs through the cloth, catching the light quietly and lifting what might otherwise read as rustic into something more considered.
Woven in India, it is 137 centimetres wide and composed almost entirely of cotton with three per cent zari. The vertical repeat is 4 centimetres, the horizontal 35 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It is intended for cushions and upholstery, and comes in several colourways.
