Pamir Stripe is a printed cotton stripe from the Threads Faraway collection, named for the mountain range that has long marked a crossing point between East and West. The stripe is loosely drawn rather than ruled, with a slightly uneven, hand-printed edge, and it repeats every 23.5 centimetres across the width, so a run of curtains reads as a rhythm of colour rather than a formal ticking. It carries the collection's travelled, unfussy character.
The cloth is 100 per cent cotton, 141 centimetres wide, with a 23.5 centimetre horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, which keeps cutting simple. There is no published rub count, so we treat it as a curtain and light-upholstery cloth. It comes in three colourways, Ivory, Spice and Ebony: Ivory is the palest and most neutral, Spice is a warm burnt orange that carries the room, and Ebony is the deep, almost black option for a more graphic, tailored look.
We tend to use Pamir Stripe for curtains in a living room or hallway, where the stripe reads well at scale, and for Roman blinds in a kitchen or study where it sits flat. It also makes a confident pair of occasional chairs or a window seat cushion. Pair it with a plain linen or a textured weave elsewhere in the room so the stripe stays the single point of pattern. Sold by the half metre; order a sample to see it in your own light.
With no vertical repeat, quantities are simple, but the horizontal repeat means the stripe should be matched across joined widths, so ask your maker to plan seams carefully on wide windows. Line and interline curtains for weight and to protect the print from fading in direct sun, and dry clean only; avoid pressing directly on the printed face.
