Paros is a textured pure linen weave from the Threads Faraway collection, with an 11 by 12.5 centimetre repeat that gives the surface a fine, even grain rather than a clear motif. It has the dry, slightly slubbed hand of good linen, and the deep colourway it comes in gives it more presence than the paler weaves elsewhere in the collection, catching light differently depending on the time of day.
The cloth is 100 per cent linen, 137 centimetres wide, with an 11 centimetre vertical and 12.5 centimetre horizontal repeat. The page lists it for curtains; there is no rub count, so it is not one we would put on seating. It comes in a single colourway, Charcoal, a deep, cool grey that works well in a room built for contrast, especially against pale walls or pale timber.
We tend to use Paros for full-length curtains in a study or living room where the depth of the colour needs a substantial cloth behind it, and for a simple Roman blind in a room with strong architectural lines. It pairs well with a paler weave from Quintessential Naturals elsewhere in the scheme, or a cushion from the Nala Prints. Sold by the half metre; order a sample to see it in your own light.
Match the repeat across widths and keep the direction of the weave consistent on every piece cut from the same bolt, since a dark, saturated colourway shows any inconsistency more readily than a pale one. Line and interline the curtains to give the linen weight and to protect the dark dye from fading in strong sun; it is dry clean only, so allow for that when planning loose blinds too.
