Santa Fe is a textured abstract wallcovering from the Threads Faraway Wallpaper collection, printed on a non-woven ground with the same hand-worked, earthy character as the rest of the collection. Irregular bands and fields of colour build across the width, closer to the look of a sun-baked wall than to a formal pattern, and the 66.5 centimetre repeat keeps the variation moving down the drop.
The paper is 100 per cent non-woven, 52 centimetres wide, with a 66.5 centimetre vertical repeat. The page does not give a roll length, but Threads wallpaper of this kind is typically supplied in 10 metre rolls, and we hang it paste-the-wall as standard for a non-woven ground. It comes in three colourways, Marble, Ember and Ink: Marble is the palest, stone-like option for a whole room, Ember brings a warm, glowing terracotta to a north-facing space, and Ink is the deep, enclosing option for a study or cloakroom.
We tend to use Santa Fe in a hallway, on the wall behind a bed, or on all four walls of a small room, since the texture is gentle enough to live with at scale. It pairs naturally with a plain linen curtain in a matching tone and a textured weave on the seating. Sold by the roll; order a sample before committing to a full room.
With a 66.5 centimetre repeat, allow one full repeat of waste per drop: on an assumed 10 metre roll that gives around three drops on a standard 2.4 metre wall, so a 3 metre wall needs about six drops, or two rolls. Paste the wall with a non-woven adhesive, hang from a plumb line at the centre of the main wall, and check every roll is from the same batch before you start.
