Spray is a wide-width performance weave from the Threads Winch Design Indoor I Outdoor collection, made from acrylic with a small amount of polypropylene for extra durability. There is no motif, just a fine, even grain that gives a room a technical, architectural plain, and at 290 centimetres wide it is built to be railroaded across most windows without a single seam, which matters as much on a large glazed elevation as it does outdoors.
The cloth is 95 per cent acrylic and 5 per cent polypropylene, 290 centimetres wide, with no pattern repeat. The page lists it for curtains; being an indoor-outdoor cloth from the Winch Design collection, it also suits a covered terrace or garden room, though we would check with your maker before using it on hard-wearing seating. It comes in four colourways, Cloud, Ocean, Moss and Dove: Cloud and Dove are the soft neutrals, Ocean a clear mid-blue, and Moss a grounded green for planting-heavy schemes.
We tend to use Spray on a long run of glazing in a living room or garden room, where the width means no joins, and as curtains on a covered terrace where the cloth needs to shrug off damp air. It pairs well with the plainer Winch Design weaves on the seating nearby. Sold by the half metre; order a sample to see it in your own light.
Because the cloth is 290 centimetres wide it is railroaded: the width becomes the drop, so you buy the length of track times fullness rather than a number of widths. The cloth can be machine washed cool on a minimum wash or dry cleaned professionally; do not tumble dry, and cool iron only if needed.
