Ventris is a fine linear geometric from the Threads Vinyl Wallpaper collection, its narrow grid of lines set out with the precision of a graph or a technical drawing. The scale is smaller than some of the other papers in the range, so up close it reads as a crisp architectural grid, while from across a room it settles into an even, textured field. A half-drop layout keeps the grid from ever feeling too rigid.
The paper is a vinyl on a paper backing, 52 centimetres wide, with a 64 centimetre vertical repeat and a 52 centimetre horizontal repeat in a half-drop match, hung paste-the-wall. Being vinyl, it is spongeable and hard-wearing, so it suits a hallway, cloakroom or bathroom as readily as a living room.
